Native Grass Areas and Movement Corridors
The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay
Not every acre of a golf course has to be highly maintained. At The Bear Trace at Harrison Bay 50 acres of highly maintained turf has been removed from weekly maintenance. Eliminating the irrigation of these 50 acres has reduced irrigation demand by over 7.39 million gallons of water yearly, provided movement corridors and nesting habitat for wildlife, and a better, more natural visual impact to the golf course.
