The European Commission proposed a public consultation to gather the key views of all interested parties on the questions raised in the consultation document ‘Review of existing legislation on VAT reduced rates’ dealing with the abolition of the reduced rates on goods and services for which the consumption is encouraged by EU policies. In response to the public consultation the European Golf Course Owners Associaiton along with UK and German Golf Course Owners Associations submitted letters suggesting the actions to be taken to develop a clear and fair system for VAT in the Golf industry.
