The 7th International Golf Conference of the BVGA was held this month at Schloss Fuschl, near Salzburg, with over 180 guests from across Germany, Austria and Switzerland in attendance.
The conference was filled with many valuable personal encounters, new business contacts, exciting news about market developments and a wealth of experience, for the strategic, economic and operational golf course operation. The conference came just days before the KPMG figures for golf participation were released showing that Germany is poised to overtake the UK as golfs biggest market.
“At the golf congress the high technical competence of the participants creates a very special atmosphere” said conference manager Antonia Steinhöfer, adding that “an attractive mix of presentations, best practice solutions and workshops by distinguished instructors with expert explanations and practical experiences procured the event of inestimable value”.
BVGA Wirtschafts – GmbH Managing Director, Thomas Hasak stated that the organisation’s goal is to “bring together as many decision-makers who have an interest to actively shape the future of the golf industry “.
This year’s conference certainly managed to do that, showing it to be the most important business platform for decision-makers in the operation of golf facilities in the region.
